Little Bud

Take a look at this face. We are fostering this little guy for Col. Potter's. He has had a rough year. He is 8 years old. His hu-Mommy passed away in March and his hu-Daddy had to go to assisted living in May. His hu-sisters have been caring for him in his own home since then--checking in on him several times a day. But since they just now realized his Poppa is not going to be able to care for him, decided it was best for him to be rehomed.

So we are working on that. He is not crazy about being with a pack--has been the lone guy all of his life but is okay--just does not play as part of the pack. He is very smart--you can "see" him sitting there trying to figure things out. He sits flat on his bottom and begs when he wants something and entertains himself for hours with a squeaky ball.

He is toy possessive but we are working on that. He is said to have a bit of Lhasa Apso in him. He is house-broken and pretty darned sweet. Our Molly is quite smitten with him--I rarely have to go outside and make her come in now----he is not all that nuts about outside for entertainment. But give him another week and he should be out there sniffing about with the best of them.

He's a real cutie. Give him time and you may see another terrier blossum. My Jolly was out of a mill and spent a little time the first few months, sitting and watching my other dogs... I think he was observing to see the pack order and this little one may do the same.

Bless him...he does look serious and sad...how awful that he lost his people....I think he's lovely. Thankyou for caring for him, Pam.
