Meet our latest little Rescue..Gracie
Gracie, Nov. 24th, 2004 comes into rescue thanks to Mary from Solas (the volunteer group who helps the Council Bluffs shelter save more lives)
Gracie is a sweet precious little 6 week old Shih Tzu.
She is a a tiny pound and a half Shih Tzu...with a slight heart murmer.
She was going to be "dumped" at the C.B. shelter by the BYB.
We met Mary Jones from Solas and brought her into Rescue, Wednesday, Nov. 25th.
We took her to meet our vet, Dr. Goodrich & she can have a wonderful life with loving care.
Thank goodness she will be saved from ever having to have puppies....which could take her precious life away. We have her on special puppy suplements.
It is sad a little puppy this young had to leave her mother...but this BYB was ready to sell all the puppies....with an ad in the newspaper,& little Gracie was headed to the pound.
Mary contacted me about this little fragile 6 weeks old baby...& of course I said YES..we will take her into rescue!!!
As she grows with alot of loving health care & love...
She will be placed in a very loving forever adoptive home who will cherish her.
Gracie was the "runt" of the litter.....NOW she has the chance to blossom...and have a wonderful LIFE of love and great care...Thanks to Mary, & Solas & NAR...
Another one saved for a chance for a happy New LIFE via Rescue!!!

Our Boing Boing meets little Gracie...She sure doesn't look like a Westie or a Scottie...What happened to her nose???

Boing Boing is a little Scottie that was a stray, and ended up in the shelter in Papillion (a suburb of Omaha)
She was found in a Super Target parking lot, & she was brought to the shelter.
They kept her for 2 weeks & posted her as a lost Scottie puppy. No one claimed her...so the shelter called me and asked if I could help her find the Perfect forever home who understood Scotties & Terriers.
So we went to the shelter & met this precious little Scottie young lady.
Took her right to our vet for the works....and also a double check for a microchip...There was none...So decided to foster her...
Larry nicknamed her Boing Boing...she can jump at least four and a half feet in the air!!! There MUST be Springs in her Paws!!!
Well...
We fell in Love with her, so my son wanted to adopt her.
He is gone at work so long, so we call her Aric's Scottie who lives with us. :)
Here is sweet Boing on my lap...she just loves camping out on my knee when I'm on the computer.

Gracie has her little "safe place" crate in the kitchen with the family.
She already goes on the puppy pad when I let her out of the crate!!!

Little sweet Gracie thinks that our Scottie Shelby could perhaps be her Mommie.
Shelby gives her gentle kisses after she realizes she isn't a critter.
