Need help finding a Cairen Terrier Rescue
Im am writing in hopes of finding A Cairen Terrier rescue in the Joilet, Illinois area. I have a Pug of my own that was rescued from a puppy mill bust and ever since I began to learn about rescue I try to help any pup that I can that is in need. The information I have on this little girl is as follows....She is 10 years old and has been dropped off at my neighbors house by her brother and sister in law who no longer want her. They have had her since she was a puppy but after the kids and now a job transfer they can no longer keep her.She has a Cairen brother that they decided to keep.She loves children and other dogs. She will bark if there is a knock at the door or if the bell rings. I believe she is already spayed and up to date on shots, I will update when I get this information. She has a cage that she is very attached to and will go sleep and rest in there through out the day. I am told she is very playful. She is black in color (a little gray around the muzzle). Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you all so much for your time!!!

There's also my rescue, the Cairn Rescue League, altho last time I tried to find a foster home in your area, they were full of cairns that Col. Potter had purchased at puppymill auctions. I'd be willing to see what I can do though.
You may also want to try Diane Pease at hhcairns@aol.com. Diane is the rescue rep for your area for the Cairn Terrier Club of America. She may be able to take this gal. I can check with her if you'd like.

Dear Lynda, I really have a soft spot for all animals in need. I wish I could do more to help as many as possible but I have found that sometimes it can take quit a while to help one animal in need. I have such a great respect for people who devote so much of their time to rescue, foster, transport, and place all these little fur babies. I can't even begin to imagine my life whithout my little "Alex" who was rescued. Some humans can be so terrible, but on the flip side SOME have real wings and these people are true heros to the pups and to the ones privileged enough to be owned by one of these little loves.
Dear Katie, I would so much appreciate if you could get the word out to the appropriate rescue rep's for the area that I live in. Hopfully "Tasha" will be able to find a forever home soon.I did take Beth's advice and wrote the two rescues she suggested last night. I am still waiting for a reply. Once again thank you all so much for your help. Oh, forgive me for spelling Cairn wrong.I should have done a little more research before I posted. Take care all :)
