Cairn Terrier, Thorndale,PA Vote for this post

Just found this on Petfinder Classifies...

10 month old, small, female, AKC Cairn Terrier. Very sweet with a good disposition. Good with small children. Good with other dogs. Dixi is a playful full-blooded Cairn. She doesnt shed and is kennel trained and almost fully housebroken. Dixi is current on shots and has been altered. Dixi comes from a private family who must sacrifice due to a child recently diagnosed with asthma. Please contact if interested and for the adoption fee.

She sounds just perfect.....shame she had a family with a kid....though usually they WILL grow out of these allergies...wonder what would happen if dogs were allergic to babies ? Hhmmmm....

It says the child has asthma which is a bit more serious than allergies. Personally, I'm with you, I'll take the Cairn over the kid any day! I wish we could take her but my dad wants to wait until spring!

No, they don't always grow out of the asthma. Mark still has it, but he is able to control it somehow or other. Luckily, the dogs don't bother it. Seriously, I think that is one reason I didn't care if we had children or not. Between the two of us, I know we would have had allergic, asthmatic children!! I didn't want to face the decision of giving up a dog because of my children's health.
