18 month old 22lb Westie Mix NEEDS A RESCUE TO TAKE HIM IN - CLEVELAND, OHIO - Permission to crosspost

Contact info: Amy Amy@westparkanimalhospital.com, work 216/252.4500 or home 216/351.6069

Details: Fozzie is up to date on his shots, on heartworm preventative, neutered, housetrained, good with other dogs and cats (shows no interest in cats really). Fozzie was a stray from June 2006-August 2006 and was picked up by the City of Brookpark. The City of Brookpark took him to West Park Animal Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio to be vetted before placement. Amy works there and fell in love with Fozzie who was a shaggy mess upon arrival. Of all the dogs who come in every day as strays to be placed, Amy fell in love with this guy. She brought her 3 year old son into the clinic and Fozzie was wonderful with him, sweet as can be. Upon taking him home, Fozzie played well and happily with their hyper male lab mix and paid no mind to their kitty. Amy's little boy was sitting on the floor next to Fozzie and decided that Fozzie was 'cold' and decided to wrap a blanket around him, upon doing this, Fozzie bit the toddler on the face. The toddler was taken to Metro and required no stitches and was back at home three hours later. As a result of this incident Fozzie was placed at West Park Animal Hospital for the 10 day quarantine the next day - his 10 days are up today (9/12). Amy's family has decided it's in the best interest of Fozzie and thier family to not keep him at thier home. Thier toddler is afraid of Fozzie and we all know that it isn't a good situation should the child scream or run from the dog all the time. That puts the toddler and the dog at risk. Fozzie will be boarded at West Park until he can be placed into rescue and properly placed into an appropriate home. HE NEEDS A RESCUE TO TAKE HIM IN - CAN YOU ASSIST? IF SO PLEASE CONTACT AMY AT THE ABOVE LISTED EMAIL OR PHONE NUMBERS.
