BE A HOLIDAY SANTA . . HELP DEARLY NEEDED PLEASE
if 5-6 little Cairns make their way into the loving arms of CP and freedom ... or not.
Last week I posted about the Kansas PM Kids (which grew by one), the two girls now at Oz Project and the next group of Windy City Kids coming and our need for foster homes if we were going to be able to help them. Then we got two extra from the shelter in Florida, one from a rescue group that was going under in WV and of course, little Caroline, plus our already scheduled shelter pulls and owner surrenders.
Thanks to the generosity of CP foster homes and new people stepping up to become foster homes, we just have these kids covered with foster homes.
Today I received a plea from a miller that we have received Cairns from in the past. They have 5-6 Cairns including a 5 month old male that they would like to release to rescue so they can be out of the harsh winter weather and get into a warm home for the winter. Believe me, there is nothing I would like better than for this to happen! However, we are literally FULL AT THE INN and using bunk beds in some cases to cram everyone in!!! Is there anyone out there that would be willing to foster one of these furkids??????? When even a miller has a heart and wants to give them a warm home for the holidays, how can we not give these furkids that opportunity ... Can you find an extra corner in your home for a crate? Can you spare 1/2 hour daily to play with a little Cairn who has never learned to play? Can you put out an extra dish of food? Can you find enough love in your heart to help these little furkids?
I can't respond to the miller until I have the foster homes to help them. Please don't let them spend this winter outside ...
Please contact me at vkleine @verizon.net [without the space] if you have any questions on fostering. ALL expenses are paid and you have a special assigned mentor to work with to guide you every inch of the way.
These little ones need a Santa and this might be you. Thank you. Valerie Kleine VP of Intakes Col. Potter Cairn Rescue Network vkleine@ verizon.net

Re: BE A HOLIDAY SANTA . . HELP DEARLY NEEDED PLEA
Canadian foster homes are always appreciated, though. You could apply to foster for someone who comes your way.

I'd be very happy to foster Robin, just getting them here would be so difficult.

Re: BE A HOLIDAY SANTA . . HELP DEARLY NEEDED PLEASE
we would be more than happy to foster! Is there anyway they could be transported to Washington state? We always have room here. We are taking care of a little 10 month old Corgi/Terrier mix until Feb because her owners have to move. The dumb apartment managers say they have to get rid of the dog! Christina went as far as getting a note from her doctor that she had to have Bella for health reasons! The managers said so what! Their lease is up in Feb and they have found a place so we will be taking care of her until then. Christina is so happy and she is close so will be visiting often! Anyway just wanted you to know we are available if at all possible to get one up here.

Re: BE A HOLIDAY SANTA . . HELP DEARLY NEEDED PLEA
Anybody who is willing should sign up to foster. They are very good at working out transports all across North America. I would dearly love to foster but Mom still says no dogs in the house.
