 Contest
Entry Rules
Each month, we will accept photo entries of Terriers from around the
world to compete in our Photo Contest. The contest is open to select
Small Terrier breeds and you do not need to be a club member to participate. The Terrier Club reserves the right to select or reject any photo entry, and accepted photos may be reserved for future monthly contests. Photos must show dog(s) only (no humans can be pictured), must be free of any copyright, and preferably un-altered by image editing software.
Accepted photos will be featured on our Contest page and visitors
to the site can view your entry and vote for their favorite. Voting
results are constantly updated and at the end of each month, the winner
will be announced and featured on our
"Best
of Show" page. To submit your photo entry, follow the rules below.
Please note that we often receive many more entries than we can use in the monthly contest, so your submission may be kept on file or scheduled for a future contest. Accepted contestants will be notified by email prior to the beginning of the monthly contest in which they appear.

1)
Your photo must be in GIF, BMP, PDD, or JPG format
2) Please limit file size to 1Mb or less ("zipped"
files OK)
3) Photos can be sent as email attachment or URL (specify
image)
4) We prefer dogs only in the photo for privacy reasons
5) The Terrier Club reserves the right to refuse any photo
entry
6) We may resize your photo to 300 x 300 or smaller if needed
7) We may crop or enhance your photo for best results
8) Please submit only one photo per person per month
9) Your photo must be free of any copyright or other limitations
10) Only the following SMALL TERRIER breeds will be accepted:
Australian Terrier, Border Terrier,
Boston Terrier, Cairn Terrier, Dandie Dinmont Terrier, Jack
Russell Terrier, Lakeland Terrier, Miniature Schnauzer, Norfolk
Terrier, Norwich Terrier, Sealyham Terrier, Scottish Terrier,
Silky Terrier, Skye Terrier, Smooth Fox Terrier, West Highland
White Terrier, Wire Fox Terrier, Yorkshire Terrier.

Any
visitor to the Terrier Club may vote for their favorite photo entry.
Voting will start at the beginning of each month (depending on
receipt of contestant entries) and continue to the last day of the month (12
noon PST), unless otherwise specified on the contest page. You must have "cookies" enabled on your computer and all votes are logged for review.
NOTICE:
To be fair to all contestants, only
ONE vote per unique visitor will be accepted by our vote counter (which uses two techniques to prevent multiple voting), but you may view the voting results as often as you like.
The
Terrier Club reserves the right to adjust results or disqualify
an entrant if there is evidence of tampering or multiple votes
by one visitor.

Winning
Entries
At
the end of each month's contest, the BEST OF SHOW winner will be announced
on the LATEST NEWS page of The Terrier Club. A virtual plaque
accompanied by the winning photo will be posted to our BEST OF SHOW
winners pages for a full year.
At
the end of each year, we will hold a BEST OF YEAR contest in which all
the monthly winning entries will compete. The BEST OF YEAR winner will also
be featured on the winners pages.
