Had a great time!! the pine lodge was lovely and cosey, me and Sam took our beds, mum said I couldn't sleep on the holiday beds, but you know us westies, I kept jumping on them until she gave in!!!! Weather sunny and dry, nothing sticky to roll in, boring really. Untill wednesday then it snowed, that cheered me and Sam up, we rolled and zoomed about. Dad took me and Sam up big hill, it was my first time, we walked for three hours, Sam was running and enjoying himself, I had to be on a long lead, because of bunnies, I run after them and don't come back, daddy says he could have lost me!! It was really high on the tops, we stopped for tea out of dads flask, along with cookies, Sam spotted two other walkers having a break, he went over to see if there was any free cookies going, but nothing doing. When we got back to the lodge, we flaked out on the floor and slept until tea time. I dreamt of my girlfriend, Miss Molly. Oh! there was another terrier staying nearby, a fox terrier called Jack, very street wise, he was allowed to run around and play football on his own,mum and dad won't let me, I run off!!!! Me and Sam looked for wolves and bears, but didn't see any, we did see a barn owl looking for food. Lots of baby lambs about, they looked cold in the snowy fields. We didn't play with many toys, too tired, mum and dad had us walking most days, even when it was snowing, but we liked getting covered in the white stuff, it made me look clean. Had lots of car rides too, we sit right at the back looking out of the window, I get into trouble barking at the cars following us, mum gets cross she tries to get me to be quiet but I don't take any notice, us westies like to watch whats going on. Mum and dad took us to a garden centre, boring, we stayed in the car, parked next to us was a westie sat on the back window, a very well behaved westie, didn't bark when you looked in the window at her, I kept jumping up at our window trying to get her to talk,but she just looked, when her mummy walked passed our car with her on a lead, I tried to get her attention again, but still she just walked on by, what does a guy have to do!!!! don't worry Miss Molly if you read this, you are still my number one girl, I just like to be friendly. We went to Windermere, I wanted to go boating on the lake,but they wouldn't allow us furkids on. Sam and I saw where Beatrix Potter lived, my favourite creatures, rabbits!!! The window in the lodge was low enough for me to sit and watch the birds, tree creepers, wrens, blackbirds, it kept me busy!!! then I saw a black cat watching the birds, lucky I wasn't outside things could have been hairy!!!!! Mum is calling me for our last walk today, I'd better go now. Mum and dad had trouble with the camera so not many photos, hope they get it fixed for my website photos. When we read about the Westie girl in the other car, we were wondering if she was a stuffed one - Westies that quiet? Perhaps she was sick? We were hoping that you would see wolves and bears, but no such luck, right? Anyway, we are glad that you are back. Bob it soonds like yoo had a great time and doony wurrie cos I have to be on my extending lead lots when I am away from home,We seen where Beatrix potter used to live as well,yoo could have come up here and played in the snoow and stayed oover till the snoow went..Its still here and all slushy but 12 ins high in some places ...even more by the walls.I glad yoo got to get nice new walks and lots of car trips.Hope to see pictures .
