Furkid Fun Day - Hosted by Boomer Times
Hello Everyone!
We (Boomer Times) would like to cordially invite you to attend the "Furkid Fun Fair" hosted by Boomer Times.
The event is scheduled for for Saturday October 30th, 2004 from 10 am until 4 pm and will be held in Saint Charles, MO.
It will include:
A Best Baker's Contest,
A Halloween Dog Costume Contest, & a
A Parade of Rescues.
Entertainment will be provided by:
Clowns of America,
there will be a magician for the hu & fur-kids,
and a local carnival company will have a blow up castle for the hu-kids to bounce around in!
We are working on an agility performance by WRM.
At present we have over 20 venders plus 5 rescue groups confirmed to have booths there.

BT has arranged special pricing with Comfort Suites of St. Charles - who is pet friendly - for anyone that would like to come in for the event. (details below)
ALL PROCEEDS RAISED ARE BEING DONATED EQUALLY TO WRM & ST CHARLES HUMANE SOCIETY. (SCHS is the ONLY non-euthanizing shelter in the area)
If you would like more information, or would like to obtain a vender's booth (1st come, 1st served) please email us. You can also contact us if you would like to donate an item for raffle/auction to either WRM's booth - or to Col. Potter's booth.

The lot we will be set up at is actually adjacent to a large Walmart/Sams Shopping Center. We plan the parade to just outline the lot - so it will be a very short "parade" - and away from busy streets. Clowns of America are expected to participate in the parade.

Well, it sounds very promising. Just have to figure out how far of a trip it would be. But we will try and talk our Dad into it...Mom is already talked into it.

This just keeps getting better and better. With Rose at the helm, you can trust me that it will be a blast--and her pal Martha is no slouch either! These women are like the energizer bunny, I swear! And I will get to meet them (finally).
Our pack will be at the Col. Potter booth--am making some things for auction there. And new ideas keep cropping up all the time.
Please come if you can for a fun, fun time.

The parking lot the event will be held at is right behind my Vet Clinic - that address is
2757 Plaza Way, Saint Charles, MO 63303
Mapquest should be able to give you an idea of distance & travel time (I am sure the lot itself has an address - I have not obtained that yet though)- Comfort Suites is less than 5 miles from the lot*
**We are up to 6 Rescue Groups and approx. 20 venders are confirmed for booths** Petsmart has donated giftcards for the Costume Contest Winners* There is already a local cable TV show that has requested an interview with us* Much more in the works - venders will be passing out "treats" to hu & fur kids that come to "trick or treat" !!
