Amazing Dogs
This is a long story to just explain it, but here goes. A lady I work with told me about it happening. Buddy is her daughter's dog. I am not sure what breed dog she is but it doesn't matter.
A young man, on military leave, was traveling home to Arkansas, through Arizona. He spotted an abandoned dog in the middle of nowhere, on the side of the road. He couldn't just leave the dog there so he picked him up and brought him home with him. His leave was almost up so his cousin volunteered to take Buddy. Well, Buddy turned out to be a fanstastic dog. She, not he, is wonderfully well-behaved and great with the children. The family came home the other night and Buddy was just barking away and wouldn't stop. They went outside to see why Buddy was in such a frenzy. The next door neighbor had fallen down and couldn't get up. She had been calling for help but nobody but Buddy heard her. The lady's husband has Alzeimher's (sp) so wasn't even aware she was gone. Without Buddy, who knows how long the lady would have stayed out there!! Isn't that amazing!!!
