Miracles do happen
LOOK at this!!
Ross came into rescue in HORRIFIC condition from being kept in a crate 24/7. These are his before and AFTER photos... he had sores going through the muscle and had it reached the bone - he would have been pts. :( LOOK at what a clean surrounding, good food and meds did for him... stinking people. They actually write now and then asking how he is doing?!!? Can you believe it!!
He is being fostered by Dawn in Moline, IL. He came into rescue in August 25th of this year. Dawn says he'll never have the greatest coat, but he looks pretty darn good to me. Isn't this amazing.... Dawn's vet can NOT believe its the same dog - the animal control officer (a friend of Dawn's) couldn't even LOOK at Ross on day one... he was ready to go arrest someone. And now... look at him...simply amazing...

Owners neglect...these are burns from being in a plastic crate 24/7 and sitting in his own waste.

Re: Miracles do happen
Sent my check last week. I think Ross looks great. Poor Dawn lost her dear sweet Ava to the bridge during this time. I'm sure Ross has helped her with that grief...

Re: Miracles do happen
See ? They CAN be cured....great to see just how well he's done. That's one of the worst cases I've seen here. Well done, Dawn. And I hope they didn't bother responding to the heartless idiots that thought it was OK to let him get in this state. XXX.

Re: Miracles do happen
Carol, you are right - miracles do happen. This is amazing. I feel he is one of the luckiest pups in the world, to end up with people that have the knowledge and patience to deal with this. The peaceful happy look on his face says it all!

Re: Miracles do happen
Ross's story is a true miracle Carol, thanks for posting it and his photos. As graphic as they are, I feel they need to be seen. His skin looks much like a victim of Malessesia, but remember folks, this is tissue burn from urine and feces and it must have been excrutiatingly painful for Ross.
Just imagine, if the prior owners had left their baby in soiled diapers until it burned to half this extent, they would be facing life in prison for such a cruel act of omission. Why does the law feel animals are any different
I am very sorry to hear that Dawn lost her dear Ava while caring for Ross. Please pass on my symathy to her...
hugs, Theo and Casey xox

Re: Miracles do happen
I am in shock and can't come up with any words. How can anyone be so cruel and why are they not in jail? It makes me mad as hell that they get away with this. Who can guarantee that they will not do this to another dog? It makes me sick in my stomach to look at the pictures and how fantastic he looks now. I hope he finds the best loving parents ever. G-d bless him. Thanks Carol. Hugs Yoka & Moshe
