We adopted Elmo when he was 6 years old. We were empty nesters. Suddenly all my years as a mom were over and I was lost and lonely. Elmo came into my life as the first dog I ever had. It was love at first site. He was my forever baby and companion for almost 10 years. My life is lonely and empty now without him. He had congestive heart failure and finally had a paralyzing stroke. I held his face in my hands and kept his eyes locked on mine while the Dr. gave him his final relief and freedom. He will be forever remembered and sadly missed.
