Update on how Andrew and Biba doing
Well we have had Biba 6 weeks now,and although off to a bit of a mixed start with her ear infection and then my sisters staying she is settling in,I was going to say quietly but not really the case,she is a real Huntress,I take Andrew with her in the morning for a walk but Andrew is slow and wants to mooch and not go too far so I go again later with Biba to try do some training a little and also fun zooming on a long line in the fields etc...she slinks real low like a leopard and trots so fast along the hedgerows in the field like a fox would do smelling and alert to everything..and as strong as an Ox ,I really have to keep a watch all the time at what she is looking at etc ..or trying to pick up .she does not leave my side at home and always wants to know where I am I guess all she ever knew was her breeder before.Andrew has been really good ...fingers and paws crossed!..they slept together on a sofa in the bedroom last night and at the weekend we went out both days and Andrew had his carty and she even rode in that with him for a while...she was tired though from walking around so it got her used to knowing its an easy life to ride sometimes in that!..the one thing she has taken to doing is in a late afternoon in the garden is trying to play with Andrew...I say that but its ...all of a sudden Andrew will be lying on the grass and she will start to stalk him and then fling herself near him and bark and then run like the wind in circles all round and then trying to goad him on...he tells her off sometimes and will try either go zoom after her or try to get her ..not worked this one out yet but hope he does enjoy the play ...having said that I also know how strong Andrew is and do not want a clash of bodies like him and Nimby did and end up with teeth bared,he seems pretty relaxed with her and I am sure he enjoys having another sissie,I am keeping everything high up as do not want any more sock episodes and considering she was not house trained she has only had 2 mishaps inside...I did get some pictures at the weekend and will get some put on,busy at work and today have taken a bit of her coat off as was quite long...she travels well in the car but does not look at much through the window yet if she is on my knee like Nimby used to ...she likes to snooze along but sometimes she is in crate in the back of car with Drew...she is good with other dogs meeting them also and of course a yappy at every one and thing..there is one pick up truck with trailer that goes up the lane sometimes to check on the sheep and its the only one Andrew always goes wild at barking and of course Biba has copied him...so ,so far so good....Hugs Annie and Gang xxxxxxx

Half an hour after putting this post on I had a bath and then sat on sofa to watch a programme and Biba was on sofa and Andrew came by my side and I called him to come on sofa also...as he has often done with Biba there and she went to have a snap at him so she got told off and is now doing the typical Cairn skulk and bearing a grudge as they do!..they have been out for last widdie in garden and now off for beddie...I will put them both on sofa in bedroom and see if they both stay there like last night!...Hugs and Hope all normal tomorrow. Fingers crossed that things keep going smoothly Annie! I'm sure there will be days when you "hit a bump in the road" and one of them is out of sorts....I've never had 2 dogs at the same time but I know the cats get into it every now and then and the next thing you know, they're grooming each other! We still haven't left Emmie near the kittens outside. When they're older, we're hoping they can get along. She's been acting up with the male inside cat lately and we've had to correct her. She doesn't bother the females, just the male. (Maybe because he's the only one who will run from her!) Give both of them a great big hug from Emmie and me!Love, Deb, Emmie, and Angel Kelsie

Annie time is sure flying by, doesn't seem like 6 weeks already. I like her title the huntress. She seems to be a high energy girl like lil Grady is. Biba is giving you never a dull moment.Great that she is grabbing onto the home routine some and good that her and Andrew are sleeping together, that is a big step. We had some of that toothy snarl with Willie and Emily a few times. Emily coming into our fur legged clan last was very pushy and Willie was holding onto his pack order. They worked it out and all was great.It does take time.Fingers crossed that they'll become best of buddies and harmony will soon follow.
