Re: We hope everyone stays safe and well
Things are bad on this side of the pond too. Our schools, restaurants and all non-essential businesses are closed for at least the next 2 weeks. The numbers of folks with the virus continues to go up and the govt. is asking everyone to stay home if they can. Since all events are cancelled, my workload at the paper is a lot lighter and I already had all the material I needed for the upcoming issue of the magazine.so I can do a lot of my work from home. I didn't like it, but I had to go to the store today. It was crazy there! Some things are in short supply with empty shelves--paper products, such as toilet paper, cleaning supplies, and hand sanitizer are virtually gone. As long as we have our health and food for all of us, I consider us blessed. Keeping everyone in my prayers in this scary world and hoping that things improve soon.Stay healthy everyone! Love, Deb, Emmie, and Angel Kelsie

Re: We hope everyone stays safe and well
We too wish everyone well. Public schools here are still mostly open, some private schools have closed or will close tomorrow (school holidays were due to start at the end of March anyway). We are still working at our business, most of events have been cancelled or postponed including the Grand Prix and ANZAC Day services. As for the supermarkets and stores sadly some people have been super selfish and taken far more than they need and are trying to sell it on eBay for exorbitant prices. No toilet paper, no tissues, no hand sanitizer, no long life milk, no meat, no milk, no rice and the list goes on. It's very sad to see how people have hoarded food, medicines etc and left none for anyone else. There have already been 2 big altercations in the supermarkets resulting in charges being laid. Even some business people trying to send our goods overseas when we have nothing left on the shelves. Disgraceful behaviour. We will soldier on of course. Stay safe.

Re: We hope everyone stays safe and well
our schools including the univ of neb are closed for the rest of the semester. most restaurants are closed except for drive ups, most grocery stores are open some are allowing seniors to shop before the store opens to the public only problem with that is the hours are from 7-8 in the morning.
I am glad that i am retired and don't have to go out, have been home for about a week, presley and i are going crazy, the weather isn't cooperating either, it has been cold and now we are expecting storms, in the eastern part of the state and a blizzard in the west, (that is nebraska in the spring) So far so good on being healthy I am avoiding people as much as possible. please all stay safe and healthy
god bless

Re: We hope everyone stays safe and well
We are in the same boat here in New Jersey.
Grocery stores are beginning to open up early for us seniors and disabled and those with serious reduced immune disorders.
I went this morning and things are still bleek on the shelves.
Hope everyone is safe and that the food supply chain gets caught up.
Love Riley and Allen

Re: We hope everyone stays safe and well
Similar to others. In New York state, schools, restaurants ( except for take out) closed. The number of affected continues to grow. Shortages of many items. Governor calling for 75% of non-essential employees to not come in to work. We are Very fortunate to be retired and living in a rural area with no close neighbors. We are well stocked, but not hoarding. I have a weak immune system, so I am fortunate to be able to stay away/stay home.

Re: We hope everyone stays safe and well
It is now 100% with the exception of "essential" business. New York has been hit badly and we are doing our part by staying home.

Re: We hope everyone stays safe and well
It is about the same here in Florida. We are safe here and doing well. They have closed down our pools and any activities in the club house is cancelled. Some restaurants are still open but don't have many customers. Our grocery stores our out of paper and cleaning supplies. Not much on the shelves either. The boys and I are doing well. Getting a lot of house cleaning done and other projects in the house. Everyone stay safe and well. Love Louise, Caesar, Judah, and Angel Murphy
