Prayers Please! Vote for this post

We took Emmie to the vet today for her bi-yearly check up and were dismayed to find that she was getting another abscess on one of her anal glands. She just had this problem in October when one burst and now here we go again. After the last time, we added bits of apple, carrot, and peas to her food for more roughage but it must not have been enough. She's on pain pills (for a few days) and antibiotics for 14 days and we're starting her on GlandX. Have any of you used this? The vet told us that if she keeps having this problem she may have to remove the glands! That scares us to death! So, please keep our little munchkin in your prayers and hope we can find an answer to this problem.
Love, Deb, Emmie, and Angel Kelsie

Poor little lass hope she feels much better soon. None of my girls have ever had issues with anal glands but Matilda has had a couple of sebaceous cysts which they said would need to be removed if they kept popping back up thankfully (fingers crossed) it doesn't happen again.

We hope she starts to feel better each day.

Recurring problems are really hard to get rid of and just another thing to worry about.

Love Riley and Allen

Deb,We are sending lots of prayers and positive thoughts for Wee EmmieSue...just having to go through that again..lets hope the vets have got it in time before it grows any more and more painful...we hope the Gland x starts to work alongside the antibiotics..we have never used it.... various  dogs we have had  we on the odd occasion had to take them just to have the glands expressed at vets.
Thinking of you and Emmie of course,do let us know how she is doing...Much Love and hugs Annie Andrew and Biba xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Oh Miss Emmie we are sorry to hear about your gland problems.  We hope the antibiotics work and the terrible abscess doesn't come back.  Our Mummy said she doesn't know anything about GladnX but it may be worth the try if that pesky abscess keeps coming back.  Love Caesar, Judah, and Angel Murphy

Oh Deb I'm so sorry to see your sweet girl is in pain and her glands are abscessed. I hope the antibiotics are helping and Emmies next appointment goes well. I don't have any experience with the GlandX. Hope that someone can add some helpful information to help.
Sending gentle hugs
Sandra & Master Gradyxox
