Sorry I have not posted lately Vote for this post

Sorry it has been a while since I have posted.  Things have been crazy here.  My Judah has been having a hard time since he lost his sweet Caesar.  He has been going from one issue to another.  He has severe separation anxiety attacks when I have to leave him for awhile.  He gets so stressed out that he gets sick.  His liver enzymes are going nowhere.  Fortunately they are not going up but they are not getting any better.  The growth on his right paw that was taken off in January looks like it it coming back.  Now I have to deal with that.  Part of his nausea & vomiting is from anxiety but he is also having some for no apparent reason.  He needs A liver biopsy but the only place that does the less invasive version is the University of Florida School of veterinary medicine.  The waiting list for surgery is 3 months!!!  it is so frustrating.  I am so worried about my Judah.  Prayers please.

Oh Louise, so very sorry to hear that Judah is having so many issues.  Poor little man, it is so hard when they don't feel well, 3 months to wait for surgery is so long , I can understand why your are frustrated.

when buster died, robin went thought the same thing, she missed him so much and there was nothing I could do.  I finally found little Presley and that really helped her.

I found a couple of months ago that presley has bladder cancer, he is on medication, but I don't know know long we have.  I treasure each day that we have,

know that I will be keeping both you and Judah in thoughts and prayers.

god bless

sandi and presley, buster and robin at the bridge

It is so amazing how they bond with the dogs they live with.   Judah & Caesar were together for 4 years.  They were so good together.  I am so sorry to hear Presley has bladder cancer.  That is what took my Caesar.  I will keep Presley in my prayers.  Louise & Judah

So sorry to hear Judah isn't doing well and that the wait for the biopsy is so long. Can they put him on medication for his anxiety? Matilda has been on Neurontin since late September for anxiety and tummy issues.

My heart goes out to you and Judah. Loosing Caesar was a major blow to you both and the grieving process is no easier for our pups than it is for us. Have you thought about getting him a playmate....I only mention it because sometimes adding another pup to the family really works wonders for the pup that's been used to having a buddy and now has none. We will keep both of you in our prayers and hope that Judah's tummy problems can be helped with some meds. Also praying that you can get an earlier appointment for the liver biopsy. Three months waiting for a liver biopsy is just too long....Please give him a kiss from Emmie and me and know that we are keeping you close to our hearts.
Love, Deb, Emmie, and Angel Kelsie

Deb I want very much to get another Westie.  I have been having a hard time finding one.  I have to make sure the dog is not a alpha dog and bully's Judah.  In his previous home Judah was bullied and abused by his littermate brother.  Caesar was the perfect brother for Judah and Judah really bonded with him.  Louise

Louise ,I am so sorry you are going through all this and of course Dear Judah..as we all know our puppers grieve like us and  also pick up on our upset and anxiety and as we do off them when we know they are feeling like this,we in the end were left with Sweet Nimby  on her own after all the cairns left and then we got Andrew..how does Judah react if you go anywhere with him and he sees other terriers I wonder if it brightens him up at all...its a shame you cannot  almost find a chum and just see if he gets on or not with an understanding if it upsets him the chum would have to be homed with someone else...although that must be easier said than worked out I guess...do you know if anything else is making Judah vomit at all or is it just when you are away for a while...gosh we worry so much about our pups when they are poorly..and having to wait for the liver biopsy..it brings it back when Nimby got poorly.Do you know anyone close with any Westies or Scottish terriers he could walk with  and see how he behaves with them...I am sure that Scottish terriers somewhere in my mind from years back a lady said they are sooo loyal Bless Judah..the other thing I did for Nimby when she was on her own for a while before we got Andrew was leave calming music on or the TV  with a calm programme on low when I was at work for a few hours..wish I had CTV in the house so I knew what they got up to and did when we are out....Please let us know how he and you are doing again when you can,we think of you lots  and my heart goes out to you both..please Both have big Hugs and kisses from us all.
Love Annie Biba and Drew xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Annie Judah does have several doggie friends here and enjoys seeing them  About a mouth ago I got new neighbor who bought the house down the street from me.  They have a beautiful Westie named Bryce.  The first time he saw Bryce Judah cried out and want right to him!  He thought it was Caesar!  When he got close to him he realized it wasn't Caesar.  They do get along well which helps him some.  I have also tried the music thing when I have to leave him to go shopping.  It doesn't seem to make any difference.  I am trying to figure out what else might be causing the vomiting.  I am keeping a record for my vet every time he vomits.  She did some abdominal X-rays on him which showed more food in his stomach then should be 2 hours after he ate.  He also has hyperactive stomach & bowel sounds.I wish I could find a new brother for him and me too!!!  Louise

Louise it is nice to see your post and we have been thinking of you and Judah,Keeping you both in our prayers. I hope that Judah can get the liver Biopsy sooner and that you can get results sooner. Such a worry. :-( So sad that Judah is grieving his brother so deeply.
Willie went through a very difficult grieving when Maddie passed away. He would howl and whimper ,pace in unsettled behavior. with anxiety and grief. It brought me to tears.
Diana (( thank you )) came to the rescue with gifting Willie with a Snuggle pup that had a heating pack and heart beat in a cute little stuff dog. Willie was comforted by it and slept during the days and nights with his blue doggie pal. I have a link to one down below if you think it may be helpful.

Keeping you both in my thoughts..sending hugs Sandra & Gradyxox

Thank for the web site for the Snuggle pup.  I will have to look into it.  Annie sent me a stuffed Westie toy for him after we lost Caesar.  He sleeps with it at night which seems to help him. Louise
