Diana, I had no idea of the extent of the girls' allergies! Bless their little hearts, it has to be so rough on them and they are so lucky that you are able to afford their treatment...Love of our furbabies is priceless but their care sure isn't! Hoping the therapy works and keeping all of you in thoughts and prayers.Love, Deb, Emmie, and Angel Kelsie

Diana I'm sorry to see that Matilda is suffering with all the allergies! So heartbreaking seeing the results. I know it was difficult with Hannah and Kelsi and this must be shattering for you to get this report from Matilde's blood test.. I hope that the treatment can work effectively and give your Matilda some much needed relief. A shame what they charge on these annual medications. Sending my best wishes to your darling girl. Hugs Sandra & Gradyxoxox

Thanks
I am hoping it works for Matilda. Izzy had the same Heska blood test in 2018 but we received no results other than low level fungus, same with the intradermal skin test but I was not happy as I'd specifically asked would the medication she was on effect the test results I was told no then afterwards in the paperwork test results can be affected by medication, stress (they don't fully sedate them) or the allergens not being on the test. So that time I cut our losses went back to the vet she does quite well on Cytopoint one injection every 8 weeks she has a bit of a yeast issue every now and then but nothing major.
Matilda was a bit more of a challenge not sure if I mentioned it but late September she had an ultrasound as she had been exhibiting strange hiding behaviour and they found she had an enlarged pancreas and that vet thought she might have a thyroid tumor but we saw a specialist and he wasn't convinced by her bloodwork and we opted not to do the $2800 CT scan. So she was put on anti anxiety medication and a blander diet I started adding more veggies and bits and pieces to her boiled chicken and rice. She also eats 6 pieces of Frontier Pork I call it of a morning, a roo tendon and some apple twice a week. Once I changed her diet she was able to go back on to oral antibiotics and fungal medication prior to the change of food and anxiety meds she couldn't tolerate either medication for more than a day or 2.
We went to the Dermatologist in mid January it was actually the dermatology intern that looked after her she suggested we not do the food trial I had said to them it wasn't going to be an option for her. I also said if they wanted to do the skin test she would need to fully sedated (twilight sedation as they called it wouldn't be on the cards for Matilda due to anxiety) so the intern asked if she could do the Heska blood test that day which I agreed and sent me home with other medicated lotions from one end of her body to the other. That was an $1100 day. I am quite pleased we do not have to do the intradermal test not only is it expensive due to the sedation but I wasn't looking forward to the after care. All my girls had issues after the skin test so for the week or so afterwards it wasn't great.
I have ordered & paid for the vaccine when we go to the dermatologist on March 4th she will receive her first injection after that every Wednesday afternoon and Saturday morning she will be given an injection until she reaches what they call the maintenance dose she could possibly be given the injection every 3 weeks. My first girls Kelsi and Hannah got to the stage where Kelsi had hers every 3 weeks and Hannah every 5 which was a bit nicer than having to go twice a week. It was so long ago I can't recall how long it took to get to the maintenance dose.
Matilda and Izabella came from the same registered breeder. Matilda's full sister from an earlier litter is Izabella's Mum. Of course the breeder says my 2 are the only allergy ones in her line which I know is not the truth.
