Update Bibsy
The vet rang me and they had put Bibs into recovery and they found a peach stone in between her large intestine and small one which was obstucting so have removed it...it was very black so they think and hope this was the cause of all the sickness...they are keeping her in again tonight and will see how she is in the morning and /or over weekend as to when she comes out ,the next 5 days are crucial not to get an infection, they will ring me in morning or if not I ring after 10 as they have practice open till 1pm on saturdays and are often very busy.In the walled garden there is a large greenhouse with peaches and nectarines grown in and also figs and Grapes...the door is always shut as I know about the not to eat grapes etc for dogs but I suspect that possibly one of the carers who looked after the elderly man there had a peach and maybe tossed the core into the garden and at some point Bibs has swallowed it...it seems a likely cause....another worrying sleepless night!...I keep telling Andrew Sissie will be back tomorrow!!...she will have to be well watched when she comes home,Thank you so much for all your support and will update in the morning again. Much love and Hugs Annie Drew and Bibsy xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Re: Update Bibsy
Oh my Heavens Annie!!!!!!!! It is a good thing you have a wonderful Vet who got to the bottom of Biba's problem. No wonder she was so sick. Our 4 legged kids can get themselves into trouble easily by eating or swallowing the wrong thing. Biba is in my prayers for healing. Love Louise, and Angels Caesar, Judah & Murphy

Re: Update Bibsy
Oh my stars, I would never have thought of something like that! I know of dogs who ate socks, stones, etc. (our neighbor's dog just ate her daughters retainer and ended up in surgery!) I know we have to watch Emmie like a hawk, she is forever picking up pieces of wood and I just know if I didn't tell her to "Drop it now!" she would probably eat it right down. Oh the worry our little ones put us through...I am so very glad that the vet found the pit and removed it! I guess you'll have to go over every inch of that garden to make sure there are no more of them lying around! I know you'll worry till you have her home, safe and sound. Please tell Drew that Emmie is thinking of him and her bestest Bibs and sending all the love her little heart can hold! Give him a big snuggle from us and let him know that we are holding all of you close to our hearts. Take care and we'll be looking for another update tomorrow.Love to you all, Deb, Emmie, and Angel Kelsie

Re: Update Bibsy
Oh Annie a relief that they got the obstruction out of your sweet baby. Poor Biba....just to think of her having that peach stone inside. These little terriers can be munching down on things they shouldn't before we have even a clue. You spotted something wasn't right . Annie so good you got her to your Vets and now it is removed. After surgery it's good she has the Vets keeping a close watch and that good healing gets underway. Many prayers for brave Biba in her recovery. Sending gentle hugs to you all...xoxox Sandra & Gradyxox

Re: Update Bibsy
Hopefully that is the end of her troubles. Dangerous little buggers those peach stones. Fingers crossed she can come soon.
