update on sister or brother Vote for this post

Just wanted to let you guys know that we won't be getting Calie, After talking with her foster mom (found out that she fostered Presley)  We decided that Calie won't be a good match for presley, she doesn't like other dogs and has been growling at the foster moms  dogs.  We think Callie wants to be the alpha and would do best as  an "only child".  so have decided not to adopt her, I can't bring her in to my home with presley because I don't want him hurt.

there are other dogs available and was told by the foster mom that there might be some puppies on the way, they thought that one of the rescues was pregnant.

i am a little disappointed but there will be other dogs.

thanks

sandi and presley, buster and robin at the bridge

Ah Sandi, so sorry that it didn't work out with Callie but from what the foster told you, it wouldn't be good for Presley to have such a dominate dog in the house. We are sure there is a perfect match for you out there somewhere and when you find her or him, you'll know it! In the meantime, give Presley a big kiss from Emmie and me.
Love, Deb, Emmie, and Angel Kelsie

I am sorry to hear that you won't be adopting Callie but it definitely sounds like the right thing to do.  It is always a plus when the foster mom knows the dog you already have.  Had the same sort of thing happen when I adopted my Judah.  Judah's litter mate brother Levi was alpha dog and bullied Judah all 7 years of their life together.  Levi was  placed into an "only one dog home" and is doing beautifully. Judah's foster mom and St. Louis Scottish Terrier Rescue knew my Caesar very well and felt Judah was perfect for my Caesar.  They were right on and Judah and Caesar bonded and were wonderful together.  Never an issue!!!  I know there is a special dog for you and Presley!  Hang in there!!!!!  Love Louise, and Angels Caesar, Judah & Murphy

Disappointing but not the right fit. Westies rarely pop up in Rescue in Australia.
