How's Matilda Doing?
Diana, we've been wondering how Matilda's doing and whether her course of treatment is clearing up the yeast infection? Sending lots of healing prayers her way and also gentle virtual hugs to both girls.Love, Deb, Emmie, and Angel Kelsie

Re: How's Matilda Doing?
Thanks for asking unfortunately 'the plan' hit a bit of a snag this past week we didn't make it to our dermatology appointment on Saturday as on Friday I woke with the flu. So she missed that revisit and a dose of the vaccine which is not ideal. I have her booked in at the vets for another dose this Wednesday providing I feel well enough to take her. I did bathe her yesterday morning as I've been unwell I've not had the energy to spray her down with the 2% diluted Chlorhexidine spray she does appear to still have a couple of rough spots on the shaved skin. I am going to wipe those areas with the spray this afternoon. Her dermatology appointment has been rescheduled for June 17th their earliest available. Missing that one vaccine appointment means she has 3 more (instead of 2) weekly vaccinations before we start one injection every 3 weeks. The shaving of her hair while it does look a little odd does really seem to have helped in the healing (or starting to heal) of the skin underneath. I've been keeping her cone off but may need to put it on during the day while I am at work and leaving it off overnight otherwise she may start going for her paws again. She has finished the latest round of antibiotics but still has about 2 weeks of anti-fungal meds the vet will do cytology this week to check on infection. She is also on Apoquel to help settle the itch.

Re: How's Matilda Doing?
Keeping positive thoughts and prayers coming for Matilda and hope the medication will heal her soon. Good that the yeast infection is showing signs that it is clearing. I hope you feel better Diana and that flu doesn't hang on for long.
Hugs Sandra & Grady xox
