What Shampoo? Vote for this post

Just did shopping for some grooming supplies last week. I needed a revamp of all the things I had left over from grooming my little Angels. So new items I had to get for the grooming bag.
The finger cots and pumice stone I have used already for getting Grady's puppy coat removed mostly. If it didn't come out gentle I left for the next grooming. He did pretty good on the table for his first strip. I did pick up a dry shampoo but it's only for the spot clean from time to time when needed.
I got some conditioner finish spray so to moisturize his coat against breakage. His coat is very coarse already on his body but chest, head and legs are still soft.

My question is what is a good shampoo that you can recommend for a course coat that is gentle? The shampoo and conditioner I used for my westies and cairn was great but no longer is made.  Thank you and I appreciate your help
Hugs Sandra & Grady xox

So glad that Grady did so well at his grooming! Not sure about Cairns, but Westies are notorious for having skin issues so we got Tropiclean OxyMed Anti-Itch Oatmeal Shampoo from the vet for Emmie. It smells so good and she hasn't had any itches at all! Good luck in your search and give Grady a great big smooch from Emmie and me!

Deb, thank you for sharing the Shampoo that works so well for Emmie. I will see if our Vet carries it but I do see it's online with other products in the same company. I may want to give this a try. Your experience sounds very positive and I like that it smells good too, :-)

Sandra ,I have always tried to use an Aloe vera shampoo for the cairns and also use on Andrew but in the past have also used a mane and Tail horse and human shampoo,Has the vet recommended anything at all?..How I love those course cairn coats and  different colours,Andrews coat is real curly and  this weekend as its due to be a bit cooler I am going to have another go at tidying him up a bit he looks so shaggy!...Let us know what you get for Wee Grady....Hugs and kisses Annie Andrew and NimbySue with her wings xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Annie thank you. I've used the mane and Tail for our family shampoo never thought of it for the pups. Something with Aloe Vera is always good for the skin. Like you Annie I love the cairn course coat but it can break with dryness so I have started using the Ice On Ice Finish spray conditioner this week. It seems to add a slight not heavy moisture to the coat.I hope it will help over time.
Grady's coat has changed already so much in just the short time we've had him. It will be interesting what color he will become or if it will continue to change many times. When people see him they just Love to touch his coat and say they like the colors.:-)
