Shampoo?
Does anyone here use whitening shampoo for their Westies? Is it necessary to use to keep a Westie coat white? Just curious....

Re: Shampoo?
We don't use it and KAty is pretty white...we use Buddy Wash Shampoo and Conditioner and between bath spray - the lavender scent. It is all natural and smells fabulous!
Hope you and the girls are doing well! I see that you are from Iowa. That is where Katy is from, we live in MN.

Re: Shampoo?
Never used a whitening shampoo on Kelsie. We have shampoo from the vet--for dry skin or we use plain old baby shampoo. Love, Deb and Kelsie

Re: Shampoo?
Good to know, thank you. I have just been using the same stuff I use on Ellie, which is shampoo for sensitive skin. I didn't really want to use separate ones if I didn't have too...plus Bindi is still pretty white without using whitening shampoo anyway. :)

Re: Shampoo?
I use oatmeal shampoo on my boys due to allergies. That really works well on them. Louise

Re: Shampoo?
I have always used either oatmeal shampoo or this other one that has hydrocortisone beads in it for Ellie's skin allergies. I've been using the oatmeal one for Bindi too, but the last time I went to the store I was looking at the shampoos that were for white dogs and wondering if it was a necessity. I'm glad it's not :)

Re: Shampoo?
I have always used Biolage; it is a whitening shampoo. I've never used anything else; so I'm not sure if the shampoo makes them whiter or not. May need to experiment!
